License terms

Beat license terms checklist

Before sending a beat folder, write down the practical terms both sides expect to see: the license type, whether stems are included, usage limits, monetization permission, credit, territory or term notes, and the receipt or agreement link.

Terms to confirm

  • License type: non-exclusive lease, unlimited lease, exclusive license, or custom agreement.
  • Stems included: yes, no, or instrumental only.
  • Usage limits: stream caps, video use, live performance use, or other restrictions.
  • Monetization: allowed, needs approval, or not allowed.
  • Credit line: the exact producer credit the artist should use.
  • Territory and term notes when the agreement has limits by region or time.
  • Receipt or agreement link saved near the packet.

Example deal terms note

License type: Non-exclusive lease
Stems included: Yes
Usage limits: One commercial release and social clips for the same song
Monetization: Allowed
Credit line: Produced by Nova
Territory / term notes: Worldwide, two-year term
Receipt / agreement link: https://example.com/receipt

What this is not

This checklist is not a contract generator and is not legal advice. Use it to prepare a clear handoff packet, then confirm final terms in the actual written agreement before money or rights change hands.

Build your packet

Add these notes in the Deal terms checklist module and copy them into the full BeatFlow release packet.
